Car shipping from the USA to Afghanistan
Vehicle shipping from the United States to Afghanistan is what ESL Shipping LLC does every week - sedans, SUVs and pickups, whether you already own the car or are buying it at a US auction.
How car shipping to Afghanistan works
- 1. Vehicle receiving at our warehouse (towed from the auction yard or your address)
- 2. Inspection & documentation - condition photos and title paperwork
- 3. Container preparation and professional loading
- 4. Port transportation and ocean freight
- 5. Shipment tracking - status updates in your portal
- 6. Arrival at destination port and onward land transport
- 7. Container unloading, customs clearance and delivery in Herat
What you need to provide
We handle the rest: export paperwork in the USA, import documentation and customs in Afghanistan.
- Vehicle details (year, make, model, VIN)
- Title / bill of sale and your ID
- Destination and your phone / WhatsApp number
Safety and visibility
Every car is photographed before loading and every shipment is handled safely. Your customer portal shows the vehicle, its stage (auction won → departure → in transit → customs → out for delivery), charges and payments - so there are no surprises on arrival.
Frequently asked questions
Can I ship a car I already own in the USA?+
Yes. We collect it from your address or a yard, and ship it with the same process as auction vehicles.
Which corridor is faster for cars?+
Via Türkiye is usually a little faster (55–70 days) than via Dubai (85–95 days); we recommend the best option for your dates.
Where do I receive the car?+
In Herat - our office is located next to the Herat customs, the "ESL Shipping Yard". Vehicles enter Afghanistan via Islam Qala.
